In the context of COVID-19, stroke has proven to be a relatively common complication. The presence of cerebrovascular disease is an independent risk factor for poor prognosis in patients with severe COVID-19. The article provides a literature review on the epidemiology, structure of cerebrovascular complications in patients with severe COVID-19. The review article presents modern approaches to anticoagulant and antiplatelet prevention of stroke in patients with COVID-19.
