Stroke is a disease leading to cognitive impairment, cognitive impairment develops mainly after the age of 60. For the study, 36 patients with cognitive impairment were taken from patients who had suffered a stroke (20 men and 16 women, whose average age was 57.4 ± 3.4 and who had suffered a stroke for 9.2 ± 3.8 years). The development of cognitive impairment depends on the size of the affected area and the number of recurrent strokes. When assessing cognitive impairments, we used a neuropsychological test - the MMSE (Mini-Mental State Examination) scale.
