The scientific article “Main directions and problems of development of the digital economy in Uzbekistan” examines the progress of digitalization in Uzbekistan, highlighting the main directions of this process. Attention is paid to government actions, such as the implementation of the National Concept of the Digital Economy and the “Digital Uzbekistan - 2030” strategy. It also covers changes in the telecommunications industry, public trust in digital services, and efforts to develop skilled digital professionals. The article also discusses the challenges hampering digitalization, including uneven distribution of digital infrastructure and cybersecurity challenges. However, despite these challenges, the article highlights the potential of the digital economy to improve quality of life, increase productivity and create new business opportunities in Uzbekistan. In the future, it is planned to further deepen digital transformation in various sectors and support innovation to stimulate sustainable and dynamic development of the country.
