The article explored the nature of digital transformation and the impact of the digital economy on the economic development of regions and countries as a single system. Also, theoretical and practical recommendations were formulated for the formation of the digital economy in Uzbekistan, the use of ICT for development of regions and the acceleration of digital transformation in Uzbekistan.
