Dozens of types of ultrasonic effects have been developed, designed to perform a variety of surgical operations. In our study, the use of the piezoelectric bone scalpel «SmarThor» and the «ВопЕх» instrument system in patients with diabetes mellitus allows for very accurate dissection of bone tissue, with minimal injuries. The use of piezoelectric scalpel in patients with diabetes mellitus creates an optimal condition for reparative regeneration after surgety splitting of the alveolar process with the use of osteoplastic materials and installation of dental implants.
