A review of scientific publications reflecting the main trends of scientific research devoted to the etiopathogenesis of exfoliative cheilitis. Close interrelation of exfoliative cheilitis with local (intra-oral), systemic (endogenous), anatomical and constitutional factors, environmental factors and the production environment are shown, which necessitates an integrated approach to treatment.
