Annotatsiya

Greek written sources report that nomadic pastoralists were skilled hunters and horsemen. Horses played an important role in their daily lives. They were also engaged in trade and crafts. Various crafts were found in their tombs. Examples of this include carpet weaving, textiles, jewelry and weapons. The surroundings of the Khorezm oasis were favorable for the development of nomadic cattle breeding. Nomadic pastoralists moved constantly in search of pastures for their livestock such as horses, sheep and goats. Their houses and grass are adapted to constant migration. They were quick to assemble, easy to install and easy to carry. In ancient times, the houses of nomadic herders were built on carts. It always walked with them. It was convenient for them to move quickly. In the article is analyzed the natural-geographical position of the lower Amu Darya basin and the factors of the formation of nomadic livestock farming in ancient times.
