The article examines the issue of the interdependence of culture and economy, or more precisely, the importance of cultural factors in the economic development of society. Based on research conducted in this area, the author argues that culture determines the uniqueness (identity) of nations in the context of globalization, and the formation of cultural preferences is influenced by the beliefs and value system of a given society. Ultimately, culture manifests itself in the economic behavior of people, which is an important condition for economic development.
