The 70s and 80s of the 20th century, which are an integral part of world history, are characterized by the Soviet-Afghan war. In this article, along with the causes and consequences of the war, the losses and sufferings of the war for the Uzbek SSR are presented through sources. The article also contains war veterans' memories and reminiscences about the war.
