For centuries, the population of the Surkhan oasis wore a variety of clothes depending on gender, age, profession, season and social status. Accordingly, local craftsmen produced a variety of clothing, footwear and jewelry. Especially, women's clothing was extremely varied. Here, women wore jewelry such as beads, earrings, rings and bracelets, which were worn and sewn on the forehead, hair, ears, neck, arms, legs, and chest. This article provides information about the traditional clothing and jewelry of the inhabitants of the Surkhan oasis.
