This article discusses various ways that, in accordance with current trends, help to develop reading skills in primary school students. The development of communication skills in younger schoolchildren is an urgent problem of modern education. Within the framework of the concept of modern education, the task of humanizing education is analyzed. The roles of teachers and students in the educational process are planned to be radically revised, which, in turn, will require the creation of a learning environment based on joint activities.
