In order to further democratize and liberalize the judicial and legal sphere in the field of criminal law, this article examines the concept and essence of the "object of crime" as the main element of the corpus delicti, which plays an important role in bringing a person to justice under a specific legal norm. The correct definition of a criminal law norm directly depends on the correct establishment of the object of encroachment and is a prerequisite for the qualification of crimes, which also allows you to distinguish crimes from administrative, civil or other offenses. Based on the analysis, the author drew the appropriate conclusions and made recommendations.
