In this article, dialogic speech is studied functionally, andspeech acts, which are one of the main issues of pragmalinguistics, are discussed. The opinions of world and Uzbek linguists about the theory of speech acts are stated. While studying the pragmatic aspect of the dialogictext, the author analyzed the speech acts that correspond to the speaker’s communicative intention, presented examples of dialogues from artistic texts, and researched them from the point of view of groups of illocutionary acts.
