The article analyzes the state of development of the industrial sector of the southern region of Uzbekistan (Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions), structural changes in the region's industry, trends and prospects for its development. Based on the results of the analysis, the existing problems in the industrial sector of the region were identified and ways to eliminate them were proposed.
