The article examines the main regional challenges in one of Uzbekistan’s territories – the Kashkadaryaregion. Key issues are analyzed through the service sector and the agricultural image of the region. Tourism isidentified as one of the effective tools for increasing income levels and reducing unemployment in rural areas.Municipal regulations are presented as examples of how existing problems are addressed. In this context, preferencesand tax incentives are considered the primary approach to solving difficulties. Furthermore, the transformation ofregional economics is illustrated through methods of state regulation, describing the overall process of change.
