The article examines fulfillment of the obligation of state authorities and administrations, self-government bodies of citizens, public associations and other non-state non-profit organizations and officials to mass provision individuals and legal entities with public information, established in article 8 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 12, 2002, No. 439-II. The study showed that the legislation regulates the fulfillment of this obligation only by state and other administrative bodies, the content and list of this information is not determined, and a relatively low efficiency of the state body authorized to manage this area has been found. As a result of the study, taking into account the practice of foreign countries, the concept of public information was given, recommendations were developed for forming a list of this information, identifying persons responsible for its mass provision, and regulating this process.
