In modern linguistics, the use of a functional approach to the study of religious terminology is based on reflecting the dynamics of the linguistic development of vocabulary units, that is, identifying their potential in the process of real work. This article discusses the theoretical and methodological foundations for the study of religious terminology from this point of view.
