Annotatsiya

The investigation of the issues related to bone metabolism in individuals with idiopathic stunting is important, as growth disorders in children and adolescents often result in alterations in bone mineral density, which can lead to long-term complications in adulthood, such as osteopenia and osteoporosis. Moreover, during periods of active puberty and adolescence, there may arise significant clinical and psychological issues due to the noticeable lag behind peers. Nowadays, there have been numerous studies conducted on bone metabolism in children with endocrine disorders. However, the scope of research that thoroughly examines the various forms of idiopathic stunting and their connection to bone metabolism disorders is rather limited. The objective of this review is to explore, based on the available literature, the underlying mechanisms of bone metabolism disorders in individuals with idiopathic short stature.
