Relevance. Diabetes mellitus type 2 (DM 2) and its complications can lead to disability and premature death of patients, cause huge costs for healthcare systems and, thus, are a serious problem of public health care for most countries of the world. Goal. To study the results of the survey of groups in the Khorezm region in the determination of risk factors in the development of pre -diabetes and DM 2. Material and methods. 2327 participants without diagnosed diabetes were included on the basis of the Khorezm endocrinological dispensary on the basis of the Khorezm Endocrinological Dispensary. The examination method was performed by the screening of pre -the -diabetes and DM The actual risk of diabetes was determined by the German risk scale of diabetes (GDRS), which evaluates the 5-year probability of DM 2. Results. According to the survey, among 2327 participants, the real risk of diabetes for the next 5 years was low in 59.5%, average in 16.1%, moderately increased in 10.4%and high in 14.1%. Conclusion. 1. Current data reflect a relatively low perception of the risk of diabetes among the adult population of the Khorezm region as a whole, even if the actual risk of DM 2, measured using a multifactorial risk assessment, is high. 2. The need to further increase the awareness and control of beliefs about the risk of diabetes among the population is proven.
