Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the world's leading cause of death, and obesity is a recognized risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Early detection and treatment of cardiovascular disease is critical to reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. Especially in obese patients with obesity-related cardiovascular risk factors such as hypertension (AH), dyslipidemia and diabetes mellitus (DM). Significant and sustained weight loss after metabolic and bariatric surgery is associated with a significant reduction in cardiovascular risk factors. This article reviews CVD risk patterns, obesity- related CVD risk mechanisms, and overall CVD risk reduction between various metabolic and bariatric procedures.
