In modern conditions of the formation of the digital economy in Uzbekistan, the importance of the effectiveness of the introduction of information technologies and the automation of accounting and financial accounting at enterprises of all forms of ownership has been assessed. If for large enterprises it is not difficult to acquire ready software solutions, then for small businesses and private entrepreneurship there is a difficult choice of independent formation of an accounting information system (BIS). It has been established that for all entrepreneurs, equally relevant issues are the choice of configuration and model for building a BIS, taking into account the specifics of doing business, generating reporting and the degree of implementation of accounting automation. The presence on the market of software for accounting automation, both domestic and foreign software developments, is characterized. This article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the use of domestic and foreign accounting information systems, with an assessment of technical requirements and the availability of certain software advantages necessary for making a decision in choosing the most effective way to organize accounting automation.
