The article provides a scientific analysis of sources and literature created in the late 19th - early 20th centuries on the problems of education in Bukhara. The main stages and directions of the development of the social and cultural life of Turkestan and Bukhara from the 19th to the first half of the 20th centuries, the maintenance of schools and madrasahs and their educational content, the problems of education in folk pedagogy, thespiritual heritage and exemplary ideas of Turkestan.
