The tourism industry is uniquely susceptible to various forms of crises, ranging from natural disasters and healthpandemics to terrorism and political unrest. These disruptions not only cause immediate economic damage but also havelong-term implications for the reputation, sustainability, and resilience of tourist destinations. This research article providesan in-depth exploration of crisis management strategies within the global tourism sector. It begins by outlining the criticalimportance of proactive crisis preparedness and identifies a significant gap in strategic planning among many tourismoperators. The discussion offers practical recommendations for tourism stakeholders, emphasizing the importance oftraining, inter-agency cooperation, and digital transformation. It also suggests that crisis management should be viewednot only as a defensive measure but as an opportunity to innovate and build a more sustainable and adaptive tourismmodel. This study contributes valuable insights for policymakers, tourism authorities, and scholars seeking to developrobust frameworks for managing future disruptions in the tourism industry
