This article analyzes the theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of the sustainable and effective development of the agro-industrial complex in economic regions. The importance of the cluster approach in organizing the agro-industrial complex, its role in increasing production efficiency and improving economic relations are studied. Also, theimpact of the natural and climatic characteristics of economic regions, labor resources, investment environment, innovative technologies and infrastructure system on the development of agro-industrial sectors is highlighted, and in the process of research, the factors affecting the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex are systematized and modern methods of organizing agricultural production are analyzed. In this, the economic importance of increasing product competitiveness, increasing labor productivity and efficient use of resources is substantiated.
