The article analyzes the economic efficiency of optimizing the motor oil change interval in the D-243 diesel engine of an MTZ-82 tractor operated under hot climate conditions. Annual costs for three oil brands (M-10DM, M-14DM, Texaco DMO 15W-40) were compared; the annual economic effect was found to range from 655.8 to 1,678.4 thousand sum per tractor. The results can be used to reduce fleet operating costs in agricultural enterprises.
