Sepsis remains one of the most pressing challenges in modern medicine, both in Uzbekistan and globally. This is due to its high incidence and persistently elevated mortality rate. Alongside the pronounced systemic inflammatory response, one of the key pathophysiological components of sepsis is prolonged systemic metabolic dysfunction, which manifests primarily as a syndrome of hypermetabolism-hypercatabolism and rapidly progressing nutritional deficiency. Therefore, timely administration of appropriately selected metabolic and nutritional therapy is considered one of the priorities in the intensive care of such patients. This approach helps reduce the duration and severity of the hypermetabolic-hypercatabolic syndrome and increases the overall effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
