WAYS OF STRUCTURING “CHARACTER SUBTEXT” BY BECKY SHARP IN WILLIAM THACKERAY’S NOVEL “VANITY FAIR”: Sattarova Ismigul Bakhtiyorovna, teacher at Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages.
The article examines ways of structuring “character subtext” in W. Thackeray’s novel “Vanity Fair”. It is noted that one of the most important ways of organizing “character subtext” is the function of the Manager of Performance in the novel. Particular attention is paid to the image of the author and the importance of chronological narration in the novel. The “character subtext” themselves and the representation of the concept “wealth” in the text segments are also analyzed.
