Based on an analysis of the sources, the article discusses some features and aspects of the trade and economic ties of the Russian Empire with China through Turkestan at the end of the 19 th - beginning of the 20 th centuries, identified objects of import and export in the study period. The author analyzes the development of customs on the border of Turkestan and China.
