This article is based on the data obtained in the course of the study, as well as those available in the medical scientific literature, summarises information on the etiological factors influencing the development of diseases accompanied by chronic deforming endobronchitis and bronchiectasis. The basis for this study was the importance of cellular immunity, as immune disorders play a key role in the pathogenesis of bronchiectasis and chronic deforming endobronchitis in children. The authors examined 163 children with bronchiectasis and 82 children with chronic deforming bronchitis. Indicators of cellular immunity were determined by the modified method of Garib F.Y. (1995); Studies have shown that in the phase of exacerbation of BE and CDEB in children there are deep disorders of immune status characterized by persistent T-cell immunodeficiency. On the basis of the obtained data, the authors recommend to take into account immunologic changes when carrying out therapeutic measures.
