Affixation is one of the most active ways of word formation. In the Uzbek language, words are formed mainly in this way. Since occasionalisms are a speech phenomenon, their creation is also freely chosen by the author. The article discusses the creation of occasionalisms by the affixation method, researches conducted in this regard in world and Uzbek linguistics, and unsolved issues. Comparative, component analysis methods are used in the article.
