Annotatsiya

Inguinal hernias in obese patients represent a complex problem associated with a high risk of recurrence, complications, and difficulties in diagnosis. Obesity contributes to the development of hernias due to increased intra-abdominal pressure, weakening of connective tissue structures, and metabolic disorders. In recent years, minimally invasive surgical methods have been actively developed, including laparoscopic hernioplasty (TAPP, TEP) and robot-assisted technologies, which reduce postoperative complications and shorten rehabilitation periods. Preoperative preparation, including weight reduction and correction of comorbidities, plays a key role in the success of surgical treatment. An individualized approach to the choice of surgical method and careful postoperative management contribute to improved long-term treatment outcomes for this category of patients. (in Russ).
