This article examines international standards of prosecutorial activities and the mechanisms forappointing prosecutors. Special emphasis is placed on the independence, impartiality, and fairness ofprosecutors as key aspects of effective justice and the rule of law. The study analyzes internationallegal instruments developed by the UN and the Council of Europe that regulate prosecutorialappointment procedures, professional qualifications, and ethical standards. Additionally, it exploresthe integration of international standards into national legal systems, anti-corruption measures, andthe safeguarding of prosecutorial independence from political influence.
