Introduction: Osteoarthritis is a widespread joint disease requiring effective early diagnosis and treatment. This study evaluates the efficacy of synovial fluid prosthesis in gonarthrosis treatment using MRI and arthroscopy. Methods: The study involved 86 patients diagnosed with gonarthrosis. The condition of articular cartilage was assessed using arthroscopic and MRI criteria. Patients were divided into experimental and control groups, with Synvisc used in the experimental group and glucocorticoids in the control group. Results: A positive effect of Synvisc on cartilage tissue was observed at the stages of hyperhydration and early dechondral changes. After 12 months, 51.6% of patients showed complete cartilage restoration. The symptomatic effect lasted longer compared to the control group. Conclusions: The use of Synvisc in the early stages of gonarthrosis provides significant symptomatic and chondroprotective effects. MRI and arthroscopy proved to be effective in detecting early osteoarthritis stages.
