This article discusses the prospects of the digital economy and its implementation in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the possibilities of its application in international settlements and trade relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan with other countries, as well as its significance in the modern pandemic. Additionally, there were analyzed the reports of the World Trade Organization, G-20 summits and other influential international organizations on the future prospects of the digital economy in international trade, as well as reports provided by a number of reputable researchers containing information on how to develop the digital economy, and based on that the author outlines the prospects for Uzbekistan’s participation in international settlement operations and what positive effects and benefits may occur during the pandemic time.
