The article analyzes the issues of gender equality in the parliaments of the Republic of Uzbekistan and foreign countries, statistics of women representatives of the upper and lower houses of parliaments, peculiarities of the growth and decrease in the number of women deputies in parliaments of foreign countries, organizational and legal reforms carried out by the state to increase the activity of women in socio-political life of the country.
