This article examines the theoretical foundations of sustainable development principles inthe hotel industry and their practical implementation. The study analyzes the economic, environmental, andsocial pillars of sustainability, their significance for the hospitality sector, and their relationship with the GlobalSustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) criteria and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).Particular attention is given to the efficient use of resources, the reduction of environmental impacts, the supportof local communities, and the enhancement of the long-term competitiveness of hotel enterprises. The findingsprovide practical recommendations for improving sustainable management practices within the hotel industry.
