Objective: Investigation of morphofunctional changes in the stomach wall in white rats aged 36 weeks exposed to energy drinks using laboratory research methods. Methods: Healthy white male rats participated in the study. The experimental rats were divided into two groups. Morphofunctional changes in the stomach wall caused by the consumption of energy drinks in rat blood samples were evaluated using the enzyme immunoassay (ELISA). Blood samples taken for enzyme immunoassay were centrifuged and immunological tests were performed for pepsenogen 1 (pg1) and pepsenogen 2 (PG2), the cancer marker SA74-2 in serum samples. Results: According to the analysis of the data obtained, it was found that the degree of severity of morphofunctional changes in the stomach wall in experimental animals of the main group depends precisely on the duration of action of the energy drink. A decrease in the ratio of PG1, PG2 in the blood and PG1/PG2 was observed to a lesser extent as a result of drinking an energy drink for 4 weeks. However, in the case of experimental rats who constantly (12 weeks) consumed an energy drink, it was found that the amount of PG1, PG2 decreased significantly. During the experiment, it was found that the specific serum antigen CA 74-2 increased by 23.5 times and a sharp decrease in the level of pepsinogen 1,2 and the ratio PG1/PG2, indicating the morphofunctional state of the stomach wall when taken for a long period of time, indicates damage to the glands of the stomach floor. The fact that the concentration of cancer markers CA 74-2 is sharply increased indicates the occurrence of metaplasia of glandular epithelial cells of the stomach wall. Summary. Thus, the experiment showed that the level of changes in the morphofunctional state of the stomach wall in rats precisely depends on the duration of consumption of an energy drink. In 9-month-old rats who chronically consumed an energy drink, the level of PG1 increased by 79% and PG2 by 62%, the ratio of PG1/PG2 decreased by 46%, and the content of CA 74-2 increased by 23.5 times. The information provided indicates the appearance of symptoms of atrophy of the mucous membrane of the stomach wall
