The article examines the features of the development of democratic elements in Egyptian society, the formation and strengthening of democracy, analyzes the role and place of Egypt in international life, its foreign policy activities from the standpoint of a democratic society. The positions and approaches of radical religious parties and organizations in relation to democratic reforms in the country are investigated.
