ABSTRACT National language of each nation is considered as its national wealth. National language consists of dialects and patois. Tha classification of dialects depends on their linguistic and non-linguistic features, their influence on other languages and dialects, and geografical factors, as well. The initial information about the division of Uzbek language into three patois is given in school curriculum. In higher educational sets specific features, the geograpghy of distribution of these dialects are taught in depth in the courses of philology. In this article, the initial classification of Uzbek dialects, the scientific activities of Uzbek and Russian scholars in this regard, the reasons for grouping such as “o” voice, “a” voice, “j” voice, “y” voice, the reasons for focusing on three classifications such as Kipchak, Karluk and Oghuz, special features and distinguishing signs of the Kipchak dialect and the importance of classification are discussed. In addition, the history and description of the classifications implemented in the history of linguistics, specific achievements and shortcomings, specific factors of creating a perfect classification, aspects of the Uzbek language and its dialects different from other languages and dialects, and the importance of classification are discussed.
