Annotatsiya

Тhe study revealed that inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa are a common problem among the adult population, and in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been an increase in cases of severe generalized pаrodontitis. Results from clinical studies indicate links between oral mucosal pathology and COVID-19, including post-COVID syndrome. Coronavirus enters the body through the mucous membranes of the mouth, which can lead to various oral lesions, such as vesiculobullous lesions and necrotizing pаrodontitis. Levels of proinflammatory mediators in patients with COVID-19 and oral infectious diseases may disrupt tissue homeostasis, causing delayed disease resolution.
