The article presents some features of an ecological approach to assessing factors that comprehensively affect children’s health in the context of Karakalpakstan. Environmental factors cause cellular and metabolic changes in the child’s body, similar to those that occur due to other causes, such as a deficiency of proteins, vitamins, essential trace elements in the daily diet. In recent years, the incidence of nephropathy among children from ecologically unfavorable regions and large industrial areas has doubled or exceeded the total population.
