OPTICAL AND STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF NICKEL NANOPARTICLES FORMED BY LASER ABLATION IN AN AQUEOUS MEDIUM

This paper presents the results of an experimental study of nickel nanoparticles obtained by laser ablation of a metallic target in an aqueous medium. The aim of the study was to investigate their morphological, structural, and optical properties. It was established that the nanoparticles are predominantly spherical and polyhedral in shape, with characteristic sizes of 30-50 nm. Electron diffraction analysis revealed the presence of a crystalline nickel phase with a face-centered cubic lattice as well as an amorphous component. In the optical absorption spectra, a band associated with localized surface plasmon resonance was observed. It is shown that the introduction of nickel nanoparticles into water leads to an increase in the solar radiation absorption coefficient, which indicates the перспективность their application in photothermal systems.
