This article provides a comparative analysis of the morphological and syntactic essence of conjunctive adverbs in Uzbek and Japanese, and of conjunctive particles in Japanese. The study examines the role of conjunctive affixes and particles in the formation of word structures, their function in determining syntactic relations between parts of speech, and their position in the grammatical paradigm based on scientific sources. In addition, the word order, connection patterns, verb-noun relations, and the impact of conjunctive affixes on syntactic independence in Uzbek and Japanese are explained with examples. The article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the category of agreement based on traditional grammatical interpretations, the “Sase Theory” approach of generative grammar, and functional-semantic perspectives. The results of the study reveal the essence of agreement as a universal grammatical phenomenon, the interconnectedness between morphological and syntactic layers.
