Annotatsiya

Energy drinks have become increasingly popular worldwide, particularly among adolescents and young adults. Their high content of sugar, caffeine, and organic acids may adversely affect the oral mucosa and dental hard tissues. This study aimed to clinically and experimentally evaluate the effects of energy drinks on the oral mucosa and dental hard tissues. The findings demonstrated that regular consumption of energy drinks contributes to enamel demineralization, dental erosion, reduced salivary pH, and inflammatory changes in the oral mucosa. The study highlights the importance of preventive dental care and increasing public awareness to minimize the harmful effects of excessive energy drink consumption on oral health
