Analysis of the characteristics of fabric samples when selecting fabrics for working clothes for spinners

This article examines the selection of optimal fabric types for developing workwear intendedfor spinners in textile enterprises. A systematic review of scientific sources and regulatory standards,such as GOST 11209-2014, was conducted to identify key physical and hygienic propertiesrequired for protective clothing. The classification of workwear was developed based on functionalpurpose, protection level, and potential hazards. Experimental evaluations were carried out on 13denim-based fabric samples grouped by fiber composition (100% cotton, mixed fibers with 20%synthetic content, and 20–50% synthetic content). Parameters such as tear strength, shrinkage,abrasion resistance, air and moisture permeability, and wrinkle resistance were tested in certifiedlaboratories. Findings reveal that fabrics with balanced cotton and synthetic fiber composition offerimproved durability, comfort, and safety for spinners. Recommendations are provided for selectingoptimal fabrics based on a comprehensive quality assessment method. These results contribute tothe creation of safer, more ergonomic workwear for the spinning industry
