Das Hauptziel dieses Artikels besteht darin, die Vor- und Nachteile zu analysieren, die sich aus der Vermittlung der Kategorie der Stimmung, einer der fünf wichtigsten grammatikalischen Kategorien des Verbs im Deutschen, an Schüler mithilfe traditioneller und neuer Methoden ergeben. Im Deutschen gibt es drei Formen der Modi der Verben: Indikativ, Imperativ und Konjunktiv. Die Besonderheiten der deutschen Zeitformen lassen sich nur durch einen Vergleich miteinander ausreichend verstehen.
