Objective: to identify diagnostic features of the clinical course and therapy of RSV-bronchiolitis in young children. 42 children under the age of 2 years with acute RSV bronchiolitis with various degrees of bronchial obstruction were examined, hospitalized in the emergency pediatrics department of the Samarkand branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care. Patients underwent a general clinical examination: complete blood and urine analysis, determination of C-reactive protein, blood gases, oxygen saturation (SpO2), chest X-ray as indicated. RSV antigen was determined by PCR in nasopharyngeal washes. To assess the severity of bronchiolitis in children and determine hospitalization parameters, the ESBA bronchiolitis severity scale (Ramos Fernandez et all, 2013) was used, based on clinical signs, general condition, respiratory rate per minute, cardiac contraction, crepitation, presence of wheezing. RSV-bronchiolitis in children is severe with the development of respiratory failure and requires treatment in intensive care. All observed children had respiratory insufficiency (RI), indicating a severe course of the disease. In every third child, the onset of the disease was characterized by the registration of apnea. RSV-bronchiolitis in children is severe with the development of respiratory failure and requires treatment in intensive care. Evaluation of the therapy of patients with PCB infection showed that today the problem of polypragmasia in the treatment of acute respiratory diseases in children is relevant. Observations have shown the presence of cases of unjustified antibiotic and hormone therapy.
