This article discusses current issues of regulation of genetically modified products within the WTO, analyzes international norms governing genetically modified organisms, their potential impact on human health, the role of the TBT Committee of the World Trade Organization. In the final part of the article, proposals are made for the development of international legal principles and norms governing the safety of genetically modified products.
