The article is devoted to the history of the development of legal regulation of operational-search activities in Uzbekistan. The development of legal regulation is studied in several stages. Each stage included a certain number of periods It is indicated that the development of legal regulation of operational-search activities is associated with the adoption of regulatory legal acts. On February 28, 1918, the creation of the criminal investigation Department served to develop operational search activities in Uzbekistan. It is based on the fact that in Uzbekistan from 1991 to the present, that is, the conduct of operational-search activities and the use of their results cover the period regulated by law.
