In this article, for the purpose of research, an archetype is selected, the prototype Shadow is one of the archetypes of the collective unconscious. A review of literary interpretations of the Shadow character in world literature is carried out. For the first time, a mythopoetic analysis of the Shadow archetype is carried out in Nazar Eshonkul's story “Sharpa” (“Shadow”).
